About me

I am a native Londoner and have been settled here for the last 15 years having lived in the Caribbean and in France. I originally trained as a performer and have also trained as a yoga teacher so I enjoy bringing an awareness of the body into my work, supporting people to go beyond the cognitive and logical and connect to a deeper place of knowing.

Over the last 7 years I have been co-leading on the development of Courageous Spaces. We are a collective of facilitators and coaches committed to exploring the impact of race and racism. We invite people into a space of transformation, where they have the opportunity to reflect on and share their own experiences of race and racism and have conversations that rarely happen otherwise.

I am also a senior trainer at Leap Confronting Conflict and a Creative Associate for Clean Break Theatre Company. I have also taught Drama Facilitation as part of the Applied Drama BA at the University of East London. For 10 years I was co-director of deep:black, a social enterprise that uses creative approaches to work with challenging issues.

Beyond my work I am also a mum of two children - Naomi and Walter - who challenge and delight me on a daily basis. I am also partner to Nick, my co-pilot on this journey, who is an incredible source of joy and support.

I resource myself by being in nature (even if it’s only the local park), exercising, meditation, going to the theatre when I can and reading.  I am currently creating my own podcast ‘The Art of Being Uncomfortable’ which means I get to have lots of thought provoking conversations with interesting people doing brilliant work. Pure joy!
